The Story of Us

All of us at Pure Life Group have a great love for exercise and outdoor activities but due to one of our Directors intestinal problems (IBS) he was unable to use any of the current performance or gym supplements due to all the additives in them.

This sparked the inspiration to scour the world for the purest and most natural performance products and ingredients available and through this Pure Life Group was born.

Pure Life Group takes it upon ourselves to supply the public with only the purest products.

Driving Force Behind Pure Life Group

Vanessa Krügel

Vanessa is the scientist (and the brains) supporting Pure Life Group, boasting a B.Sc (Biol Sc)(RAU/UJ), an M.Sc (Applied Human Nutrition)(UP), and an Aestheticians (British Confederation – cum laude) qualification.

Vanessa’s career began at Tygerberg’s Medical School in a research capacity, where she also studied Histology and was awarded the JJ van Zyl trophy for the best researcher under 35. Following her research success, the opportunity to launch the brand Dermalogia in Dubai was embraced with vigour and ultimately achieved, before returning to South Africa to head up training for Lancôme, and later, brand manager for Avroy Shlain Cosmetics.

Vanessa has always had a keen interest in human performance, so it was fitting that in 2004 she undertook the challenge of becoming the Sports Nutritionist for the Golden Lions Rugby Union, and concurrently indulged her enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and expertise by hosting the Sports Expert Portfolio for Health24 and contributing several articles to sports specific magazines.

Returning to Education, Vanessa chose to focus on the epidemic of Obesity for her master’s Thesis, developing a CD-ROM weight management tool with the aim of empowering the user with sound nutritional skills to analyse, understand, plan, and control their own dietary plan. The result was a user-friendly program equally appropriate for elite athletes as for obese patients.

The exciting proposition of joining SOLAL, the South African anti-aging market leader, was the perfect vehicle to apply her, now considerable experience, and knowledge. Over the subsequent seven years Vanessa covered many roles including Head of Research & Development for SOLAL Technologies’ skincare and functional foods. Head of R&D, & Training for the Functional Foods & Dermaceuticals and ultimately Business Manager for SOLAL Dermaceuticals. During this time, she developed around 70 products in various categories.

Vanessa’s relentless focus on the effects of nutrition, products, concepts, and lifestyle practises on human performance, mental agility, and anti-aging, resonates deeply and aligns perfectly with Pure Life Group’s Mission. Indeed, our long-term collaboration has resulted in a constantly evolving range of supplements which feature the very finest ingredients – empowering our customers to perform at their peak regardless of their age.

My mission in life is to build a legacy for my family and by doing so to help other people in business to accomplish there dreams and goals.

My position as managing director is responsible for the performance of the company, as dictated by the board’s overall strategy. I report to our board of directors. Responsibilities include: Formulating and successfully implementing company policy.

Paul-John Ireland

Paul is an MBA graduate of Warwick Business School in the UK and brings with him a wealth of entrepreneurial experience, having started several geographically diverse businesses across the hospitality, leisure, and aviation sectors.

A keen adventurer and a rather competitive sportsman, Paul is now classified as a mature athlete and increasingly turns to nutritional supplements to keep up with the youngsters. It was during his search for high-quality supplements that the Pure Life Group captured his attention. The company ethos of using only the purest ingredients resonated deeply, so much so that in 2021, Paul joined Pure Life Group as a Director with the clear goal of developing the product range, sharing the company’s story and enjoying some adventures along the way.
